  • 2 litres whole milk
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¾ cup Madhur Sugar, powdered
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • Pistachios and almonds for garnishing

  • Boil the milk in a pot.
  • Add 3 tbsp lemon juice to the boiling milk and stir continuously.
  • Drain the liquid from the curdled milk.
  • Rinse the chenna with cold water and drain it off completely.
  • Now add the chenna to the milk.
  • Warm this mixture in a kadhai and stir it continuously till the milk thickens.
  • Add the powdered sugar and mix well.
  • Sprinkle the cardamom powder on the mixture and cook for a few minutes.
  • Grease a tray with butter or ghee.
  • Pour the mixture into the tray and settle the mixture.
  • Garnish it with pistachio and almond slivers.
  • Cut it into medium sized pieces and serve the delectable Kalakand.
