Chocolate Cake

Baked with love and made with the goodness of Madhur Sugar, chocolate and a lot more… This decadent Chocolate Cake is definitely a treat. Learn how to make it yourself here.

For Cake

  • 1 ½ cups maida
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup sour curd
  • Milk
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • ¾ cup Madhur Sugar, powdered
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

For topping/icing (optional)

  • Seasonal fruits and berries, chopped
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate/Strawberry syrup

  • Using a blender, powder some Madhur Sugar.
  • In a big mixing bowl, pour melted butter and add the powdered sugar to it.
  • Pour ¼ hot water into the mix and whisk until the sugar dissolves.
  • In another mixing bowl, pour the sour curd and add baking soda to it and whisk well.
  • Now pour the previous sugar mixture into the whisked curd and mix continuously.
  • Add vanilla essence to the mixture and mix well.
  • Using a sieve, add maida and cocoa powder to the mixture.
  • Mix well to make a smooth batter.
  • Pour the batter into a greased baking tin.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree celsius for 40 minutes.
  • Once cool, demould the cake.
  • You can garnish the cake with whipped cream, fruits, berries or chocolate/strawberry syrup and serve it.
