7 go-to desserts you can make with Madhur Sugar for when you're feeling lazy

It's normal to feel like having some dessert in the time between your lunch and evening snack. But, before finishing those long recipes, your interest in having the desert might fly away.

Understanding you, here are seven instant dessert recipes that you can try out on your cravings.

1. Instant Peda: 


  • Ghee – 2 Tbsp

  • Milk powder – 1 cup

  • Powdered Madhur sugar – ¼ cup

  • Milk ¼ cup

  • Dry fruits (optional)


  • In a hot pan, add 2 Tbsp of ghee and let it melt.

  • Once the ghee melts, add milk powder, powdered Madhur sugar, and milk to the mixture.

  • Stir well until the mixture is not sticky with the pan.

  • After getting the non-sticky consistency, turn off the burner and let the mixture cool.

  • Now when the mixture is a little warm, start making small balls.

  • Press the center part of the balls to give it a peda structure.

  • For garnishing, you can try any dry fruit and place it in the center of the peda.

2. Instant Apple Burfi:


  • Madhur sugar – ½ cup

  • Water – ½ cup 

  • Milk powder – 1 ½ cup

  • Ghee – 1 to 2 Tbsp

  • Dry fruit of your preference


  • In a pan, add sugar and water. Let it boil.

  • Once the sugar solution boils, and you get a sticky consistency, turn the burner to low flame. 

  • Add the milk powder little by little.

  • Now add one or two tablespoons of ghee to bring down a dough-like consistency.

  • Now make small balls, and press them lightly to give them an apple shape.

  • You can place a clove in the middle and paint the ball with red food color to give it the apple look.

  • You can also place your favorite dry fruit to make the sweet look even richer.

3. Rava Laddu:


  • Milk – 100 ml

  • Turmeric – ¼ tsp

  • Ghee – 1 Tbsp

  • Cashew nuts – 10 pieces

  • Raisins – 10 pieces

  • Rava – 1 cup

  • Desiccated coconut – ½ cup

  • Powdered Madhur sugar – ¾ cup

  • Cardamom powder – ¼ cup

  • Salt – 1 pinch


  • First, boil the milk with ¼ tsp of turmeric powder and keep it aside.

  • In a pan, add ghee and fry cashew nuts and raisins for one to two minutes.

  • Once the cashews turn to gold and raisins get big in size, take them out of the pan.

  • Now add some more ghee and add sooji to it. Fry the sooji/ rava in low flame.

  • Add half a cup of desiccated coconut and roast it for two minutes.

  • Add ¾ cup of powdered Madhur sugar, ¼ tsp of cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt to the mixture.

  • Turn off the burner and mix all the ingredients together.

  • Now add the turmeric milk little by little to get a dough consistency.

  • Once you achieve the dough consistency, make them into balls, and your rava ladoos are ready.

4. Chana Dal Ladoo:


  • Roasted chana dal powder – 1 cup

  • Powdered Madhur sugar – ½ cup

  • Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp

  • Crushed almond to your preference

  • Ghee – ¼ cup


  • Take one cup of chana dal powder in a mixing bowl and add our powdered Madhur sugar to it.

  • Once our Madhur sugar and the chana dal powder gets mixed well, add the ¼ tsp of cardamom powder and some crushed almonds. You can also add the dry fruit of your choice.

  • Once all the dry ingredients are mixed well, add ¼ cup of warmth to the mixture. And knead the dough well. 

  • First, the mixture looks dry, but you'll quickly get it when you try to make balls out of it.

  • Once the balls are ready, your chana dal ladoos are prepared.

5.  Chocolate Coffee Peda:


  • Milk – ½ cup

  • Instant coffee powder – 1Tbsp

  • Milk powder – 1 ½ cup

  • Cocoa powder – 1 Tbsp

  • Butter – 2 Tbsp

  • Madhur sugar – ½ cup


  • In a pan, add the butter and pour the milk.

  • Add coffee powder to the milk and let the mixture boil.

  • In the meantime, in a separate bowl, mix the milk powder and cocoa powder well together.

  • Once the coffee and milk mixture boils, add the milk powder and cocoa powder mixture to it.

  • Now it starts to become thick. By this time, add powdered Madhur sugar to the mixture.

  • Now stir the mixture well for three minutes. 

  • After three minutes, the mixture comes to a dough consistency, and it won't stick to the pan.

  • Now, turn off the burner and make peda shapes out of it. Your chocolate coffee peda is ready to enjoy.

6. Coconut Burfi:


  • Ghee – 1 Tsp

  • Freshly grated coconut – 3 cups

  • Madhur Sugar – 2 cups

  • Cardamom powder – ¼ Tsp


  • In a mediumly hot pan, add 1 tsp of ghee.

  • Once the ghee melts, add freshly grated coconut, Madhur sugar, and cardamom powder to it.

  • Now mix the whole mixture. After some time, the sugar melts and gels with the coconut.

  • Stir the coconut mixture for seven to eight minutes till you can take shape out of the mix.

  • By this time, add the mixture to a tray with butter paper. Spread the mix evenly in the tray and let it sit for ten minutes.

  • After ten minutes, make slices out of the mixture, and your burfi is ready to enjoy.

7. No Fire Kaju Katli:


  • Cashew – 250 grams

  • Milk powder – ½ cup

  • Powdered Madhur sugar – ½ cup

  • Ghee – ½ tsp

  • Milk to get the consistency

  • Silver leaf (optional)


  • Grind the cashews coarsely in pulse mode.

  • Now add milk powder, powdered Madhur sugar, ghee, and add milk to the dough.

  • Once you have a rough structure, roll the dough between greased butter papers. 

  • Once you are done with rolling, take out the butter papers, place the silver leaf over the dough and make slices.

  • Now your fireless Kaju Katli is ready to enjoy
